Filipino Versions of X Japan Songs?
Oh boy, here we go again! Remember X Japan? They're the legendary Japanese metal band founded by the two guys above in 1982 and currently having a US Tour. I've been browsing around local forums and found out that two of X Japan's songs have "local versions". Paul Sapiera did the Endless Rain version while Jerome Abalos performed Tanging Sa 'Yo, very similar to X Japan's Forever Love.
Check out the videos after the jump:
Paul Sapiera - Endless Rain
X Japan - Endless Rain
Jerome Abalos - Tanging Sa 'Yo
X Japan - Forever Love
I tried to send an email to X Japan's website but my email bounced back. Any info if these songs were licensed or "stolen" by our local artists?
BTW, Focus Entertainment has yet to answer our emails regarding the Sexbomb Girls / Namie Amuro rip-off post we had four months ago.
(Thanks Mark for the tip)
