Sony New Xperia XZ Smartphones Boast 960fps Sensor
Sony introduced earlier this month a 1,000 frames per second image sensor. That technology will now be included in their next line of Xperia XZ smartphones.
Dubbed as the Motion Eye camera, the RAM was built right into the sensor stack. This allows for 5x faster readout and a max slow mo capture speed of 960fps at up to 720p resolution. On-sensor phase detect and laser-assisted autofocus, a bright f/2.0 aperture, and 5-axis digital stabilization are also added into this 23 megapixel camera.
The new XZ smartphone camera will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor, Adreno 530 graphic processor, 3GB RAM, 2900 mAh built-in battery, 5.2" Full HD(XZs) or 5.5" 4K (XZ Premium) display, Will be IP65 rated water resistance and will be running on the latest Android OS Nougat.
No pricing yet for both the XZ premium and the XZs.
