Deceiving the Filipino customers
It has come into my attention that a well-known computer store located at SM Megamall is deceiving their customers by telling them that some of their laptops are Vista ready but it isn't.
I won't reveal the name of the shop for ethical reasons, but what they are doing is a shame to the geeks in our country. The store in question is displaying a Neo Q-Note Empriva 330SXEi and a customer is testing it, for she may be interested in buying it. Now, the salesman approached her and told her that this laptop is Vista ready hence the installed operating system Windows Vista. I analyzed the operating system and I found out that it was a Windows XP with a Vista transformation pack installed. Clearly they are telling the customer that it IS Windows Vista, but as far as i know, it's XP. I am only a concerned citizen that doesn't want to see other people taking advantage of those who isn't that techy enough to spot a fraud. How many others out there being cheated everyday for they don't know the real deal, wherein the ones who supposed to be educating them are those taking advantage. It is a shame I see these kind of things everyday and I pray for those who were swindled and also for those who took advantage.
