Voltron Movie In the Works
Another Transformers in the making? The Transformers movie is actually good in terms of special effects. But when it comes to making the audience feel they're watching a Transformers movie, the film failed... "5 stars motel" as Rocky would always say.
The Voltron live-action movie has been announced by Mark Gordon Co. and according to them, it's almost a closed deal with 20th Century Fox.
The 20th Century Fox-based production entity is close to a deal with the Mark Gordon Co. to adapt "Voltron: Defender of the Universe" into a live-action film.
Marks' take is described as a post-apocalyptic tale set in New York City and Mexico. Five ragtag survivors of an alien attack band together and end up piloting the five lion-shaped robots that combine and form the massive sword-wielding Voltron that helps battle Earth's invaders
Wait... Voltron in New York? Mexico? Five ragtag survivors of an alien attack? Hey something's not right here! Unless this is a prequel to the original storyline of the Lion Voltron.
"From days of long ago, from uncharted regions of the universe, comes a legend. The legend of Voltron: Defender of the Universe. A mighty robot, loved by good, feared by evil. As Voltron's legend grew, peace settled across the galaxy. On Planet Earth, a Galaxy Alliance was formed. Together with the good planets of the Solar System, they maintained peace throughout the universe until a new horrible menace threatened the galaxy. Voltron was needed once more. This is the story of the superforce of space explorers. Specially trained and sent by the alliance to bring back, Voltron: Defender of the Universe."
Oh well... another of our childhood memories set to be destroyed...
