Sony Officially Launches PlayStation in the Philippines
Yep, it's official! Sony Philippines has finally announced the official entry of the PlayStation brand in the Philippines today, 16 years later after they've first launched the original PlayStation in Japan.
The PlayStation 3 120GB will retail for Php 18,999 (approx. US$ 417.93) while the 250GB model will go for Php 20,999 (approx. US$ 461.92). The PSP-3006 is priced at Php 9,999 (approx. US$ 219.95) and is available in black, white, silver, red and blue colors. Sorry, no PSP-Go here and PlayStation Network (PSN) :(
PlayStation 3 and PSPs bought from Sony Centers in Ermita, Festival Mall, Gateway, Parksqure, Megamall, Trinoma, Shangri-la, and the Sony Experience Corner at Anson's Makati Ave. will have a one year warranty and support. Consoles bought from other retailers are out of luck.
The PlayStation launch event continues until tomorrow at the Glorietta Activity Center.
