Gameloft Makes 8 Games for iPad

The Apple iPad has a lot of things going for it now that it’s in the hands of consumers who want to have a new experience on a tablet PC. Mobile application developer Gameloft is also jumping into the fray as it introduces new games fr the iPad– 8 of them, actually.

The games are N.O.V.A. Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance; Modern Combat: Sandstorm; Dungeon Hunter; Asphalt 5; UNO; NFL 2010; Let’s Golf!; and, Real Football 2010. These games are downloadable via the online App Store.

Gameloft President Michel Guillemot stated in a press release that the games take advantage of the iPad’s new features, particularly the combined touch screen and motion sensitivity. The large screen also allowed the developer to enhance the graphics and gameplay of the new titles.

They’ve also maximized the multiplayer capabilities of their games by using the iPad’s Wi-Fi function. Here's a video of the games from Gameloft.





It’ll only be a matter of time before people start grabbing an iPad just to start playing games.
