Nihonsei: Aya Hirano

Ohaio minna-san! It's NIHONSEI once again! Today I will feature one of Japan's popular seiyuu. She's no other than Aya Hirano!

Aya Hirano debuted her seiyuu career way back in 2001 in the anime Tenshi no Shippo. She had her big break last 2006 when she got her lead role as Haruhi Suzumiya in the anime The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Her singing career was also realized as the CD single of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya entitled "Bōken Desho Desho?" sold out on the day it was released. After that Aya's career skyrocketed as she was offered to voice other upcoming anime of that time like Death Note and Nana. Aya Hirano is popularly recognized through her mole below her left eye. That mole was seen on the anime character Konata Izumi on 2007, which Aya Hirano was also the seiyuu.

Aya's music career was equally popular with her seiyuu career. Her debut album Riot Girl came out in Japan last 2008 under the recording label Lantis. She had her second album entitled Speed Star and was released just last November 2009.

Aya Hirano got her television career in Fuji TV entitled Moegaku★5 as a host which aired last 2008. She also have her own program entitled Just Aya Hirano TV. It started airing on April 2009. She guested tons of variety shows especially those related to her seiyuu career.
