NERD ALERT!
Yes!! Another leak on the internet, spotted by yours truly - this time - concept images of the Captain America costume that will be worn by Chris Evans (yeah, he's the guy who also played the role of Human Torch in Fantastic 4) in the upcoming 2011 Captain America movie.
Check more of the images below:
Mike Sampson, of JoBlo.com, got to check out the Captain America costume and described it as such:
"He'll have a costume designed by the Army for his initial USO appearances that's slightly more flashy and a nod to the original design. As he gets called into active duty though, Steve Rogers (who hated the original suit design), creates a new costume that's more battle-ready. This second costume is the one I saw and will the primary costume for the film."
As for the primary costume, he explained, "The fabric of the costume doesn't look like the scaled material of Spider-Man but more of a leather fabric, like something you'd see on one of the X-Men. Cap wears an old school utility belt, the likes of which we haven't seen much in modern superhero movies."
IMHO, costume looks awesome. Yes, darn awesome that is. Whoever did this artistic rendition of the Cap's costume is a GENIUS. :)
The next question is: will the Cap movie fare well in the silver screen?? Costume is not everything you know. A good story line and good execution of the movie as well as the adherence of the movie to the original concept of the superhero story can be the factors in pushing the movie towards box office hit. Not to mention, an added touch of realism in the story, just like what Chris Nolan did to The Dark Knight (Ooppss..Chris Nolan will produce the Superman Reboot movie and the much awaited Batman 3 movie).
As additional, check the other fan images of the Cap A costume
here.
P.S.
More superhero rumors here: there is also a leak of the so-called Green Lantern promotional poster across the internet. You might want to google for that one. :)
Man that uniform looks so damn sexy... how nicely it bulges in all the right places ;-)
