Nihonsei: Summer Comiket 78
Last August 13 to 15, 2010. Otakus flocked on Tokyo Big Sight convention center near Ariake, in Odaiba, Kōtō, Tokyo, Japan to celebrate the yearly Comiket. It's like the super bowl of anime conventions and exceptional cosplayers tend to emerge on these events. So what is this Comiket we are talking about? Find out after the jump
Comiket (a short-cut of Comic Market) is the world's largest self-published comic book fair, held twice a year in Tokyo, Japan.Started last December 21, 1975, Comiket has been an otakus dream come true as doujinshis (self published Japanese works) are sold here as well as very rare anime related merchandise.
Comiket is also the haven for cosplayers all across Japan as they show-off their beautifully crafted costumes and an excuse for scantly-clad females to pose without being criticized.
This kind of event must inspire all our cosplayers to be more creative and competitive compared to the Japanese counter parts.
