Before the Philippine K-Pop Invasion...
...there were Pizzicato Five and globe.
Pizzicato Five - Sweet Soul Revue
globe - Feel Like Dance
Both of these songs were instant hits in the Philippines during the 1990s. And who could forget the countless versions of Hideaki Tokunaga' Saigo no Iiwake like Ted Ito's Ikaw Pa Rin?
I still don't know if these X Japan songs would count but since plagiarism is now "legal" in the Philippines, who cares? Anyway, the 2nd Philippine KPOP Convention will be this December! More info here.
