Use Smart's Network On Your Sun Cellular SIM
Sun Cellular subscribers can now use Smart's network to get a signal where the Sun "doesn't shine". Sun Cellular postpaid and prepaid subscribers just need to dial *247# to access the menu which contains instructions on how to switch to Smart's network.
Here are two instructions from Sun Cellular for Android and Nokia Symbian phones:
Android:
1. Menu > Settings
2. Wireless Networks
3. Mobile Network Options > GSM Only
4. Network Operators > Search Networks
5. Choose Smart
6. Choose Select Automatically
Nokia Symbian:
1. Menu > Tools
2. Settings > Network
3. Network Mode > Manual
4. Choose Smart
5. Return to Network Selection Mode then choose Automatic
Basically, you just need to do a manual network search on your mobile phone and choose Smart on the list. So if you're using a different phone, say MyPhone, just look for the network settings and choose manual search. I heard that this will only work on areas with weak or no Sun Cellular signal.
