Fujifilm Philippines Global Photowalk 2016
Fujifilm organized a global photowalk that consists of 15 cities across the country and 5 cities worldwide. I joined the Manila leg were we gathered in front of the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene a.k.a. Quiapo Church.
There were lots of participants who showed up at the event as the organizers of the said photowalk opened the event to non Fujifilm users as well. The mechanics were discussed at the beginning and all of the photowalk leaders introduced themselves and told everyone where their final meetup point to submit the entries. All photowalk leaders formed a team and decided to venture anywhere in Manila. A photo essay contest was also instructed where the mechanics was to form a five man group and create a photo essay based from the theme. The theme of the photowalk was "Working Hands" and a separate theme for the photo essay was "Working Dad".
Contestants were instructed to change the date setting of their cameras to July 31, 2031 to distinguished the photos taken from the contest period. Each contestants submitted their entries from 9am until 12 noon and the eleven photowalk leaders selected a finalist from their group to represent the Manila leg.
Thank you Fujifilm for organizing yet another fun photowalk that promote camaraderie and honing of skills for budding and professional photographers, not just for your Fujifilm users but to other brand users as well. See you again next year.
