Angel Locsin is Darna

Angel Locsin will reprise her iconic role as Darna on the upcoming movie by ABS-CBN as announced by Star Cinema head Malou Santos. She said that Darna belonged to Angel Locsin, one of the most remarkable actresses who ever played the role.

ABS-CBN had to look for a new Darna when Angel Locsin was diagnosed with a spine injury last year. Some of the rumored replacements for Angel were Jessy Mendiola, Nadine Lustre, and Liza Soberano.
