Niantic Finally Fixed The Pokedex IV Bug
We reported before that there's a Pokedex IV bug that's been around since Pokemon Go launched. Last Saturday, Niantic rolled out the updates and one of them was a bug fix.
Niantic didn't anounced it on the website probably because it was a server side fix. But here were the release notes posted on the website:
Pokémon GO updated to version 0.39.0 for Android and 1.9.0 for iOSTrainers,Pokémon GO is in the process of being updated to version 0.39.0 for Android and 1.9.0 for iOS devices. Below are some release notes and comments from our development team.
Capture location: The location where a Pokémon was caught will now be displayed on their information screen. YouTuber TrainerTips confirmed that there were two server side updates and they were:
- Fixed the Pokedex IV bug when catching wild Pokemon like Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle.
- Fixed the bug in catching wild Pokemon that has low IV within their nests.

With this fix, I can finally get a good IV Squirtle and Charmander to complete my starter team.
