GMA Network Unveils Android-powered ISDB-T Digital TV Box

GMA Network has unveiled a Digital TV box prototype that runs on a custom version of Android. The prototype, developed by GMA New Media, is a combination of a Digital TV ISDB-T receiver and a multimedia set-top box.

The product has already received a patent certificate from the Philippine Patent Office. There are currently Android TV boxes and Digital TV receivers available on the market but there is currently no product that combines both in the Philippines.

Launch price and date has yet to be announced.
