Kalyeserye Returns with Alden and Yaya Dub's Engagement

Kalyeserye returned last Saturday at Eat Bulaga with a shocking announcement of Alden and Yaya Dub's engagement.

The 3 lolas, Lola Nidora, Lola, Tinidora and Lola Tidora all went back home, after 5 years, from different parts of the world, just for this event. A short while after their arrival, Alden and her grandmother, Lola Babah (played by Ai Ai delas Alas) arrived at the mansion to formally ask for Yaya Dub's hand in marriage, or the so-called pamamanhikan.

Pamamanhikan is a part of the Filipino wedding culture where the family of the would-be-groom goes to the house of the bride-to-be. Usually, the groom's family would bring gifts to offer the parents of the bride-to-be as a form of dowry. The groom will ask formally for his bride-to-be's hands from her parents, and there they will decide when the wedding will be held. There's also a small gathering of family where they eat together after the formalities.

As of current, there are no set date for Alden and Yaya Dub's wedding yet.
