Carl Cruz Takes the Helm as Globe Telecom’s New President and CEO

Globe Telecom is welcoming a new leader as Carl Raymond Cruz steps into the role of president and CEO. His appointment was made official after the company’s board of directors met following their annual stockholders' meeting on Tuesday.

Cruz brings with him an impressive 30-year career focused on managing brands and leading businesses in the fast-moving consumer goods industry. His strong background in marketing and leadership is expected to play a big role in shaping Globe’s next chapter.

Before joining Globe, Cruz served as CEO and managing director of Airtel Nigeria, the largest mobile operator in Nigeria. His experience running major operations overseas gives him a unique edge as he leads one of the Philippines’ top telecom companies.

He replaces Ernest Cu, who led Globe for more than 16 years. Now, with Cruz taking over, many are looking forward to seeing how he will steer the company toward even greater success.
